Mining Raw Letters is a studio run by Nell May and Kevin Kuhn with a cross-discipline focus on type design, typography and literary research. We find, research, make and play letters.

– Nell May is a New Zealand designer. She holds a Master in Type Design from Écal, Lausanne (CH) and a Master in Fine Arts from Elam, University of Auckland, (NZ).

– Kevin Kuhn is a German researcher, novelist and educator. He holds a PhD on Aesthetic Communication and Writing Processes, University of Hildesheim (DE) and a MA of Philosophy, Art History and Comparative Religious Studies, University of Tübingen (DE).
